Auction Roundup: 3 more complete pairs sold at auction

Three pairs go to market

All 3 happened to go to Ebay, and seemed to shake off the curse of zero bids which happened twice back in 2022 (Auction History).

All three auctions occured on Ebay

This completed pair was sold on April 9th, and went for $5,138. The pair was made possible when it was discovered in the Project 2013B database back on Februrary 11th (LINK).  Only two months later it sold, so perhaps the backlog at PMG to get bills graded is no longer the 90-120 days?

Full graded and encapsulated in one holder

Probably the first graded pair to mention Project 2013B !

This is another pair brought together by Project 2013B; this one was first verified back on May 24, 2022 [LINK].  This pair is unique in that the bills were graded individually (probably by seperate individuals), so there is no mention of 'Duplicate Serial Number' or 'Production Error' or preferrably 'Project 2013B'.  Still, the pair managed to sell for $4,899.

Both bills are now owned by one brother from a different mother.

Suprisingly this is the lowest serial numbered pair that I am aware of.  There have still been no pairs discovered in the 1st run of Duplicate Serial Number error which falls in the serial number range of 0000001 to 00250000. There are some pairs in this range in the database, but they are STILL waiting on at least 1 bill owner to contact Project 2013B.  Refer to the Matchmaking page... I could be waiting to hear from you!  One of those serial numbers is 00002013!  If that pair ever gets put together, I would expect it to have at least some premium given to the serial number that matches the series year!

February seemed to be a good month for completed pairs being discovered and sold within a 3 month window.  Verified on February 16th [Link], this pair went on to sell for $5,500 on Ebay.

Fairly wrinkly bills, but still brought in $5500

Summary

So there you have it,  3 pairs auctioned on Ebay for a total of $15,537

A running list of Duplicate Serial Number Pairs is maintained on this site, and can be found HERE or via the 'Auction History' button at the bottom of this website.
