This error led to the duplication of serial numbers between the Washington DC and Fort Worth, TX facilities, a rarity among New York (B seal) Federal Reserve Notes, making them highly coveted among collectors.

Funny story behind today's item.  Knew a couple that decided to redo their kitchen, spending over $20,000 on the project.  They planned it out to the nth degree, had blueprints and exactly where everything was going to go, including the spot where wife's prized kitchenaid mixer was going to be prominently displayed under one of the sets of kitchen cabinet. Incidently, she doesn't cook, the husband does.

The day arrives, the new kitchen is delivered and installed. The stove, dishwasher and fridge fit perfectly.  The wife goes to place the KitchenAid mixer on the designated countertop, but there is a small problem.  The KitchenAid mixer is too tall to fit in the distance between the countertop surface and the kitchener cabinets above. The husband, knew at that point he would never hear the end of it.

Project 2013B started way back in October of 2021, with many of our members going back to that time period.  Some joined at that time, while others came over once the Zegers-Winograd project ceased updating their list. 

Whether you joined early on, or missed the 3-week window of checking whether your recent serial number submission(s) were accepted or not, you can now fill out an online form and receive a list of all the serial numbers that you have submitted (and were accepted) into the project's database.

That form is located at the following webpage:

A report will be emailed back to you within 24-48 hours. However, depending on how many people respond to this blog post, that might stretch out initially by a further day or two, before things calm down.  

Please note: the email you enter on the request form MUST be the email address that you initially submitted your serial numbers with. If for whatever reason your email from that time period is no longer accessible, you can update your email contact information at the following webpage:
