Member Stories

The DC printed note is from member czg44: "I'm from the swamps of Louisiana but due to traveling for the military, we now live in Brooklyn, Connecticut. This whole adventure started when I was looking for something that my 7 year old Stepson and I could bond over. He initially showed interest in what gold was. I'll admit, this is a very new hobby and world for me so we got to learn it all together.  Over the course of 6 months, he saved his bottle return and chore money to buy his first 2.5g gold bar. This was followed quickly by silver coins which naturally progressed over to bank notes. Now 3 years later, the hunt is what we talk about most. We found this particular star note in a LOT of Star notes we won in a raffle. Just submitted our first 16 Star notes and BAM! Right off the bat! Reminds me of one of the first bags of wheat pennies we searched through that I planted a 1909 VDB and steel penny for him to find. Poor kid, the rest of his life he will be touting how easy it was to find cool things when he was younger. Here's to the next phase of this life forming adventure! Thank you for helping make our lifelong memories. Cheers!"

The FW printed note is from member a7FS: "I built my collection of Star notes while managing a gas station for a few years. I generally saved every one that I saw and had about $2500 in star notes. Then coming to find out about the duplicated run some time ago, separated all the series and tucked them away, and listed them on here. Here we are now with my 4th match. I had acquired the previous three, had two pairs graded, and have one ungraded. I did sell one of my graded pairs on eBay last year for $3000."

2020 1 oz American Platinum Eagle $100 coin, graded PCGS MS-70 First Strike, offers flawless quality and excellent value

The 2020 1 oz American Platinum Eagle is the cream of the crop when it comes to coins. Graded MS-70 by PCGS and marked as a First Strike, this coin is top-notch. Made from .9995 fine platinum, it shows off the iconic Statue of Liberty, representing freedom and resilience. With an MS-70 grade, you know it's in perfect, pristine condition, making it a hot item for collectors and investors. The First Strike label adds even more value, indicating it was one of the first coins minted and certified by PCGS.

Aside from being a cool collector's item, platinum is also a potentially great investment. This rare metal is super important in industries like car manufacturing, electronics, and renewable energy, which keeps the demand high. Plus, platinum is rarer to find in nature compared to gold and silver, so its price has a lot of room to grow. This makes the 2020 American Platinum Eagle a smart pick for any diversified investment portfolio.
