Another Matched Pair Is Up For Auction

Up for auction is what, as best as I can recall, only the 2nd matched pair ever to be put up for auction. Last month a matched pair sold on Ebay for $9301, but it was indeed the same pair that had sold at the Stacks-Bowers auction the previous year. That pair graded as a 66 and a 35 by PMG, and had sold at Stacks-Bowers for $7200 (including a 20% auction house fee).

The pair being auction now, is a *NEW* pair (the 18th according to my records) with serial number 08221896. This pair was acquire by "CH" (“123collectivity” on Ebay), who then had them graded by PMG. The grades came back as a 58 and 30, so a bit lower than the pair from last months auction, but it should be interesting to see how much the grade impacts the final price. The first bid is already in at $999.99

The Ebay listing for the pair being auctioned can be found at https://www.ebay.com/itm/224939983669

The auction ends in 6 days, on Friday April 22 at 8:17pm (Eastern Time).

The seller,  “123collectivity” on Ebay, graciously sent me these images of his certified bills ahead of the auction.
