Auction Cat says, "Another pair discovered by Project 2013B"
Duplicate Serial Number 08485592
This pair was first confirmed by Project 2013B back on November 30th, 2023. It is now up for auction at StacksBowers and features one bill graded as a 'Very Fine 25' and the other bill graded as a 'Very Fine 30 EPQ'. PMG adds the abbreviation 'EPQ' for Exceptional Paper Quality. Not many auctioned pairs have had an 'EPQ' banknote so it should be interesting to see what the final bid will be.

This marks one of several confirmed pairs brought to auction by Project 2013B on behalf of the bills' co-owners.
Living Bidding on June 27th
Live Bidding begins Jun 27, 2024 at 9:00 AM PDT. If you are interested in bidding I suggest opening an account (free) at StacksBowers, and checking what maximum bid you are pre-approved at. One of my readers found out the hard way. He successfully got his limit raised within a day, but not something you want to have to go through on the day of (or hour of) the auction. At the time of writing, the current bid is at $650 which would be a fantastic price (if it holds) if you were a buyer.
The June 27th auction is the "Collectors Choice Online Auction" and focuses on U.S. Currency. Lots 92001-92498 will be auctioned, with the 2013B matched pair being Lot #92429. The auction itself, if you have never watched one before from StacksBowers, feature video of a 'real live auctioner', so it is not just numbers changing on a screen.
The listing itself (and countdown) can be found at this link: https://auctions.stacksbowers.com/lots/view/3-1APT4Z/lot-of-2-fr-3001-b-3002-b-2013-1-federal-reserve-notes-new-york-pmg-very-fine-25-to-30-epq-production-error-serial-number-is

A feature where I show some of the crazy stuff you could buy on Amazon if you went on to sell your matched pair for a few thousand or so...

I am unfortunately old enough to remember playing videogames like Ms. Pacman on a table-top set-up like this one in the bar area of a pool hall. This one probably doesn't come with cigarette burn marks, nor the "Insert 25 Cents" coin acceptor. And back then you were limited to just the one game choice...
