In an exciting development for collectors, Project 2013B officially confirmed the discovery of the matched pair bearing serial number B06834537* on May 3, 2025, marking it as the 28th matched set of the year and the 171st confirmed matched pair since the project’s inception in 2021. These two 2013B error star notes—one from the Washington, DC facility (submitted in 2022) and its Fort Worth counterpart (registered in 2025)—represent the continued strength of the Project 2013B community in tracking down these rare duplicated-serial star notes. Now, this exceptionally rare matched pair is being offered at auction through GreatCollections, with bidding currently open and set to close on August 31, 2025.
