Production Error with Duplicate Serial Numbers Fr. 3001-B; 3002-B $1 2013 Federal Reserve Notes. PMG Banknote Choice About Uncirculated 58EPQ and Very Fine 30 EPQ are the grades for the DC and FW notes respectively.
A production error at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) resulted in duplicate serial numbers. The Washington, D.C. Eastern Currency Facility was authorized to print star serial numbers B00000001*-B00250000* and B03200001*-B09600000* in October/November 2014. Meanwhile, the Fort Worth Western Currency Facility received authorization to print serials B00000001*-B06400000* and B06400001*-B09600000* in June/July 2016. Notes from both facilities entered circulation, leading to duplicate serial numbers in the ranges B00000001*-B00250000* and B03200001*-B09600000*.
