Banknote Auctions Milestone

While updating the Auction History page, I decided out of curiousity to see what the total sales figure would be for every matched pair ever sold whether it be at an auction house or on eBay.  The only restriction being was that it had to be a pair discovered and confirmed by Project 2013B.  The grand total turned out to be just a bit over $150,000.

$150,000 in straps of $100 bills. Each strap is $10,000.

Owning a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner is not just about having a watch; it's about embracing a symbol of precision, endurance, and timeless style. This iconic timepiece, renowned for its resilience and sophistication, perfectly balances functionality with elegance. With its unmatched craftsmanship and distinctive design, the Submariner elevates any outfit, making it a versatile choice for both casual and formal occasions. Investing in a Rolex is an affirmation of a lifestyle that values excellence and innovation, reminding you that true luxury lies in the details.

Rolex has a rich history that dates back to 1905, when Hans Wilsdorf and his brother-in-law Alfred Davis founded Wilsdorf & Davis in London. They initially focused on importing Swiss movements and placing them in high-quality cases, but Wilsdorf's vision was much grander. By 1908, he trademarked the name "Rolex," and in 1926, they introduced the Oyster, the world's first waterproof wristwatch. This groundbreaking innovation catapulted Rolex to prominence. The brand continued to push boundaries with the introduction of the Perpetual movement in 1931, paving the way for automatic winding. Over the decades, Rolex cemented its reputation as a leader in horological excellence and innovation, becoming synonymous with luxury, durability, and the spirit of adventure. Today, Rolex remains not only a watch but a coveted heritage piece, symbolizing achievement and timeless elegance across generations.
